When my editor/publisher Greg Pierce sent me one of the first two hard copies of Sometimes David Wins, I was too nervous at first to read it. I feared that it might contain some egregious error in judgment or recollection of events, spotted on that read, that would undermine the whole thing. I don't mean typos and/or bungled syntax and verbiage. For sure there would be some of that.
I mean something really off base, misleading or gratuitously insulting that I completely missed. The feeling was a bit like a case of nerves at the launch of a major action wondering if we overlooked something or someone fundamental that was about to bite us in the ass.
